I had been looking for the perfect shoulder bag for a while, weighing different options. This bag looked really awesome but was a bit pricey so I couldn't really decide. I had cheaper bags in mind, but none that looked quite as good as this one, that had the strange appeal of this one.
It took me a while, but I just had to buy it. I guess it was love at first sight, it just took me some time to realize it.
There is something about this brand and their bags where you can feel that they have been crafted by real people with real hard work and real love for what they do. It makes it super appealing.
I don't know what it is with this bag. It just looks so good. It is made of recycled tires, yet it looks really classy. It looks as good as a leather bag, if not better. But it is also so tough that you're never afraid to damage it. In my opinion it is equally at ease at the opera or deep in the mud on a rainy biking day. It is super sturdy and the construction is amazing. It is also totally waterproof, super easy to clean, perfect for an ipad or a netbook or a phone or a book or whatever you can imagine. I could fit all my everyday carry in it without a problem.
And last but not least, the fact that it is locally made, with upcycled material is just the icing on the cake. It is very important to me to buy responsibly and this is a great buy.
I'm thinking about getting a wallet or a belt by Ag now.

Love this bag! Love the seatbelt strap, the white piping and the occasional tire patch in the tube. The pockets are very useful throughout and nicely sized. Zippered pocket inside for valuables. Perfect sized pocket for quick access to my phone on the outside. Not so big that you lose your keys but big enough to hide a beverage. Great for everyday and traveling. Zips to close which I find super helpful during my commute home. You won't regret buying this bag!

The Mercer Shoulder Bag is, by far, the best bag I've ever purchased. The Mercer is the perfect combination between purse and carry-all. It has a suprising amount of room but still the sleek, contained look and feel of a purse. It can carry a lot:I routinely cart around my small notebook computer, a book, my journal, my wallet and all the usual small items (chapstick, hand sanitizer, phone etc); but I still feel good using it for a night out with just my wallet and lipstick. It's remarkably durable and sturdy; I love how easily it stands upright. I ADORE the unique look of the bicycle tires and how they soften and become shinier with age. And the strap is perfect in style and practicality; It is long enough to wear across the body but shortens easily to be worn over one shouler. Again, the versatility is amazing, it's more than a purse but not bulky like a shoulder bag. It's the best of both worlds.
